How to

Set up an online booking system for local businesses

Clinics, salons, gyms, consultants — any local business that takes appointments can go live on FormAlert with a 24/7 booking page in about 15 minutes. No credit card needed to start.

Step 1 — Sign up

Go to formalert.in and click Start Free Trial.

Your free trial starts immediately — no credit card required.

Step 2 — Add your business details

Business name. Shown on your booking page and in every WhatsApp message sent to customers.

Business phone number. A WhatsApp-active number. You get a booking alert here every time someone books, and customers see it in their confirmation message so they can call with questions.

Google review link. Create a free profile at business.google.com, then copy your link from Ask for reviews. FormAlert sends this to customers after each visit.

Step 3 — Add a provider and your first service

Provider name and designation. e.g. Dr. Sharma — General Physician, or Riya — Senior Stylist.

Provider phone number. Contact number for that provider.

Service name. e.g. General Consultation, Haircut, Personal Training Session.

Duration and price. How long each appointment takes, and whether it's free or a fixed amount.

Service type. Choose Offline (in-person visit, pay on arrival) or Online (payment collected at booking, with a Google Meet link or custom location).

Step 4 — Set your hours

Pick the working days for this service — e.g. Monday to Saturday.

Add one or more time blocks per day — e.g. 9:00 AM–1:00 PM and 2:00 PM–6:00 PM.

FormAlert automatically splits those hours into bookable slots based on the service duration — you never create or close slots by hand.

Click Finish. Your booking page is now live.

As slots fill up they disappear from the booking page automatically — no double-bookings possible. To change hours later, go to Team → [Provider] → Set Schedule.

Step 5 — Get and share your booking link

Go to Share in the sidebar.

Copy your booking link — it looks like formalert.in/book/your-business.

Put it where customers already look: WhatsApp Business auto-reply, Google Business Profile, Instagram/Facebook bio, or a printed QR code at reception.

Tip: Test the link yourself end-to-end before sharing it — confirm the booking WhatsApp arrives and the appointment shows up on your dashboard.

Adding more providers or staff (optional)

If more than one person takes appointments, add each as a separate provider — every provider gets their own services and hours. Go to Settings → Team to invite staff by email with a role: Doctor/Provider (their own schedule only), Staff (all appointments), or Admin (full access).

Multiple providers and staff invites require the Business plan.
