Step-by-step guides for every part of the software.
Phase 01 · Onboarding
Follow these steps in order. From sign-up to a live booking page takes about 15 minutes.
Before You Start
Have these on hand before you begin — the wizard asks for them.
Business phone number — a WhatsApp-active number. You will receive a booking alert on this number each time someone books, and it is shared with patients in their confirmation message so they can call you.
Google Business Review link — create a free profile at business.google.com, then copy your review link from Ask for reviews. The format is https://g.page/r/…/review. FormAlert sends this to patients automatically after each completed visit.
Razorpay account — only needed if you want payments collected automatically at the time of booking. Sign up at razorpay.com and get your API Key ID and Key Secret from the dashboard.optional
UPI ID — only needed if you want patients to pay via UPI. Use the UPI address from your bank app (e.g. yourclinic@upi).optional
Google account — only needed if you offer online consultations via Google Meet or want Google Calendar sync. You connect it from the Schedule page after the wizard.optional
WhatsApp credits are included in every plan. Each plan comes with a monthly credit allowance for sending messages to patients. Plan credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. Top up at any time from the Wallet page — purchased credits carry over.
Go to formalert.in and click Start Free Trial.
Sign in with Continue with Google or enter your email and create a password.
No credit card required. Your 14-day trial starts immediately and your booking page is active from day one.
After sign-up you are taken through a short wizard. Fill in each section:
Business details
Business name. Shown on your booking page and in every WhatsApp message sent to patients.
Business phone number. You receive booking alerts here. Patients see this number in their confirmation message so they can call with queries.
Google review link. Paste your Google Business review URL. FormAlert sends this to patients automatically after each completed visit.
Service provider and first service
Add the first person providing services and their service in one step.
Provider name and designation. e.g. Dr. Sharma, General Physician.
Provider phone number. Contact number for this provider.
Service name. e.g. General Consultation, Hair Cut, Therapy Session.
Duration and price. How long each appointment lasts, and whether it is free or a paid amount.
Service type. Choose Clinic Visit, Google Meet (online consultation), or Custom location.
Schedule
Set when this service is available for booking.
Working days. Select which days of the week are open (e.g. Monday to Saturday).
Time blocks. Add one or more time blocks per day (e.g. 9:00 AM–1:00 PM and 2:00 PM–6:00 PM).
Click Finish. Your booking page is now live and patients can start booking.
If you want to collect payment when patients book, go to Payments (/payments). You choose one mode:
To set up Razorpay
Sign up at razorpay.com and complete their onboarding (business details and bank account required).
Approve the formalert.in domain in your Razorpay dashboard.
Generate API keys — use test keys first, then switch to live when ready.
Paste your Key ID and Key Secret into the Razorpay section on the Payments page.
To set up UPI
Enter your UPI ID (e.g. name@upi or your phone UPI) in the UPI section on the Payments page.
Patients receive a deep-link that opens their UPI app automatically when they book.
Razorpay credentials are stored encrypted. OTP confirmation is required each time you update them.
If others need access to the dashboard, go to Settings (/settings) and scroll to the Team section.
Enter the team member's email address.
Select their role:
Click Invite. They receive an email with a link to create their account. The link expires after 7 days.
Pending invitations are listed in the same section — you can cancel them at any time.
Multiple providers and staff management require the Business plan.
If any service uses the Google Meet type, connect a Google account so FormAlert can generate meeting links automatically.
Go to Schedule (/schedule).
Under the provider, click Connect Google Calendar.
Sign in with a Google account and grant access.
FormAlert creates a unique Google Meet link for each online appointment and sends it to the patient and provider via WhatsApp.
