Booking confirmations and appointment reminders
Every patient gets a WhatsApp confirmation when their appointment is confirmed, and reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before the visit. You don't have to do anything — they send themselves.
What every patient gets
| When | Message |
|---|---|
| Booking received | A message saying the booking is in, if you confirm bookings yourself. |
| Confirmed | Date, time, doctor, token and a Manage appointment button. |
| 24 hours before | A reminder, with time to reschedule if plans changed. |
| 2 hours before | A last nudge for anyone who forgot it was today. |
| Missed the visit | A no-show message so they can book again. |
| After the visit | Your Google review request. |
Reminders go to every booking — online, WhatsApp, walk-ins booked for later, phone bookings and follow-ups.
Patients can reschedule or cancel themselves
The confirmation has a Manage appointment button. Patients can cancel, or ask for a new time, inside WhatsApp — no call to your desk. A request for a new time shows on the appointment as "Reschedule requested"; press Accept to agree.
Want to stop this? Turn off "Let patients manage their own bookings" in booking rules.
Turn messages on or off
Every message has a switch in Settings → WhatsApp Setup, under "What goes out, and when". On your own number you can change the wording with "Edit wording".
